Pune: ZF India Pvt Ltd, a subsidiary of ZF Group, has secured a major contract from one of India’s leading commercial vehicle manufacturers for the supply of its locally engineered ZF Heavy Duty Clutch Solutions.
The agreement marks a significant step in strengthening ZF’s position as a key driveline technology provider in India’s commercial vehicle segment.
ZF Heavy Duty Clutch Solutions: Optimized for Indian Conditions
The supply involves a 430mm diameter heavy-duty clutch system specifically designed to meet the demanding requirements of Indian operating conditions.

The product will cater to the OEM’s higher horsepower engine platforms and will be manufactured at ZF’s Chakan plant in Pune.
Signed in May 2025, the agreement covers several thousand units, with the Start of Production (SOP) slated for mid-2026.
This milestone reinforces ZF’s broader localization strategy and underlines its long-term commitment to India as a critical manufacturing and innovation hub.
